Christmas

I mention that Christmas is just 2 weeks away, to one of my friends today, he replied: "I hate Christmas, with all the commercialism." This is true, very true.

How should we react in a culture of consumer Christmas, when the other 80ish percent of the world cannot par- take in this "holiday"? I think that awareness is a big part of it, meaning we need to know situation of the other 80ish percent of the world. I need to take the truth seriously, that my church family extents not just across the wealthy portion of the US but to impoverished of the world. I must remember that when i entered the Kingdom of God, entered into a Kingdom where Love was the new law. Oh, I claim to worship Jesus....who was born-in-a-barn and choose to live as a homeless man! Can i see through this "Christmas makeup", to the pain in Jesus' heart when he sees those suffering because of our socking stuffers. Just please, react to this.

Just random bits and bites

I recently purchased a new laptop (a pc of course) and I love it (except the windows part of it and esp. the stupid vista os).

I finally figured out how to setup our wireless home network (if I hadn't bought my modem/router from yard sale and discovered it was meant to be used with an verizon isp., things would have been much simpler)

I found a freakin cheap laptop bag

The website i'm working on is almost ready to go online

We found a room for our darkroom.

It's Snowing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have like 3 inches, if not more!!!

I went home on the back roads with my poor little car, from work this evening, and didn't see a one car....all trucks, either i have mad driving skills or i'm just stupid, i'm thinking the latter.

Ski round top is opening this friday, so that means SNOWBOARDING hopefully this coming saturday evening

So yay!!

p.s. I was got to throw a snowball at someone today.

Yes, i have sadly neglected writing...i'm sorry. Anyway. Here are as usual some of my thoughts. Lately i have been thinking (what a surprise).

Maebe the softest, most undistinguished, hardest to hear voices are the ones that I ought to be paying my attention to.

The mustard seed is more of a weed (that are one of those vines you see as you drive though your local city, clinging to the side of a decrepit building) then i once thought, should i continue building walls around my neat little garden or maebe i should grab the nearest shove and lose my mind.

The little ditty, money, money, moneeeeeeeey......... is more of a unconscious cultish chant, than i once thought.

Careers or life's work, should have less to do with money, that i'd like.

I watched this really amazing movie: The invisible. I loved it. It was British. The soundtrack was mostly British. And since i have fallen head-over-heals for British bands, i was in impressed. The plot was wonderful too, if i have the chance i may have to read the book.
